Environmental Responsibility
At Advanced Alloy Services Ltd we are committed to improve our ecological footprint and environmental responsibility, we are one of the few companies in the metals recycling industry to hold ISO14001:2015 accreditation.
Through careful focus on waste reduction projects we have more than halved the quantity of our general waste, with zero waste going to landfill. We are continuously looking for projects to re-use some of our waste streams. For example, we have used waste wood to make picnic benches for our staff and to make raised beds to grow vegetables.
All of cars are either fuel efficient plug-in hybrid’s or fully electric to minimise our usage of fossil fuels. In addition, 96% of our electricity consumption now comes from renewable sources.
